Being a master pattern maker, ‘Lady J’ in the early 70's, was obsessed with Japanese design & pattern making methods and was able to blend the two techniques together, being the first designer in the world to have done so, and thereby launching yet another of her so many global and unstoppable trends...

'Lady J' solidified that position when she partnered up, in 1982, with designer Yoshisada Minase, who was, for 10 yrs, Issey Miyake's top men's designer.

'Lady J' and Sada worked together for five years and launched their first collection on Melrose Avenue in July of 1984...it was an instant success.
